Previous education in STS related subjects: Completion of a preparatory programme may be demanded before admission is granted.
Objectives:
Knowledge of the various current approaches to analyzing and explaining the development of S & T in their social, cultural and scientific contexts;knowledge of the organization and development of policies towards S & T in Europe and the USA;the ability to help devise solutions to societal or policy problems arising in some specific domain of S & T, and in a particular social or political context.
Subjects:
Social Theory and the Sociology of Science; Science, Publics and Governance; Markets, Sciences and the Dynamics of Technological Innovation; optional: Global Medicine and Local Health OR Global Bio-Industry: Conflict Resolution, Global Forums and Institutions
