Educational requirements:
The Master's degree programme in Linguistics seeks students with a Bachelor's degree in general linguistics or an equivalent programme of at least three years of full-time study at university level.
Objectives:
Depending on the area of specialization: basic knowledge and skills for jobs in the area of clinical linguistics, curriculum development, language engineering, speech technology, language planning, artificial intelligence.
Subjects:
Functional grammar; language acquisition-, technology, speech development and pathology; language variation and change; sign linguistics; sociolinguistics and Creole studies; speech communication-, technology; theoretical linguistics.
Modes of instruction:
Seminars and tutorials with supervision by specialists devoted to the in-depth study of a variety of topics. Supervised individual research resulting in a thesis. All classes are taught in small groups, with a maximum of 20 students.
