Objectives:
Providing students with intellectual tools to analyze in a comparative context ethical and religious aspects of key contemporary developments in either science and technology or in politics and society.

Subjects:
Philosophical foundations for analyzing modernity as a global phenomenon; politics and society; anthropology, science and technology.

Modes of instruction:
Lectures, workshops, presentation and discussion of papers, guidance in personal reading, optional internships with (mainly) NGO's, writing of thesis.
