Objectives:
To teach epidemiology for performing independent research, statistics for the independent analysis of epidemiological data, and economics for discussing topics on a scientific level; and to offer practice in applying this theory in veterinary medicine.
Subjects:
Epidemiology: I) introduction to epidemiology; II) issues in methodology; III) epidemiology as a research tool; statistics for health scientists I+II; animal health economics; own research.
Modes of instruction:
Lectures, written work, computer practicals, discussions, fieldwork, presentation of own research, orally and in an article for a peer-reviewed journal.
