Educational requirements:
a) BSc degree in food science and technology, food technology, food sciences, chemical engineering, biotechnology, food chemistry, food physics or related sciences;
b) A Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 70%;
c) good skills in mathematics and/or statistics;
d) fluency in English, both written and spoken;
e) basic computer skills.
Objectives:
Academic training in Food Technology with a focus on all aspects of production, composition and design of food products.
Subjects:
Individually tailored programme. Majors are available in fields such as food microbiology, toxicology, food chemistry, epidemiology, nutrition and health and communication studies.
Modes of instruction:
Lectures, practical work, casework, group work, computer models, excursions, self study, thesis research.
