Objectives:
Graduates are prepared for jobs in a wide range of fields, from community forestry, forestry extension, agroforestry and nature conservation to the more technical fields of plantation forestry, forestry management and forest exploitation.

Subjects:
Tropical forestry project (reforestation): tropical plantation forestry; forestry investment analysis; project formulation. Tropical silviculture; nature management; tropical soil science; social forestry; forestry business planning. Rural resource management project: agroforestry; rural development; farming systems; satellite image interpretation; soil and water conservation; tropical plants; land evaluation; aerial photograph interpretation; forest structure analysis; tropical forest ecology. Project cycle management project; forest management certification; optional modules; research project and thesis.

Modes of instruction:
Group work, assignments, projects.
