International study

According NIPO survey, commissioned by the weekly magazine Elsevier, hears the study International Business & Languages with Stenden University, formerly Hogeschool Drenthe, Netherlands belongs at the summit. In the 'Keuzegids Hoger Onderwijs' is this once again confirmed.


The study International Business & Languages consists of two phases: the years foundation course and the main phase. But you can also choose the variant option European Entrepreneurship and two years studying abroad.


The first year - foundation phase
The first year will include 3 modern languages, management and organization, marketing, economic studies, psychology and mathematics and statistics presented. This year you lay the foundation for your further education.

The second, third and fourth year - Main Stage
The main phase of the first year courses are developed. You go deeper into the three modern languages which you have chosen and you get courses like Cross Cultural Management, Public Relations and Information Science & Law.

Part of the study International Business and Languages of Stenden University is thematic teaching. It is the practical implementation of study. You work in small groups on specific topics. An example of an assignment in the fourth year is an international marketing plan for exporting a product Hooghoudt to France or Germany.

The completion of the study consists of a thesis. This thesis consists of an independent practical to conduct research in a company.

International experience
To gain international experience you've got to take the first half of the third academic year a study abroad. Even your internship is preferably followed abroad. It is also possible to do your internship at an international company located in the Netherlands.

Stenden College has plenty of contacts with foreign schools and universities. This makes it possible for you to study in the most beautiful cities in Europe such as Alicante, Genoa and Edinburgh.
