International Hospitaliy Management

Are you the kind of person who makes all guests feel welcome? Do you like to be involved in organizing parties and events? Do you like to do many things at the same time? Are you able to deal with stressful situations in a flexible way? If so, the study programme International Hospitality Management is right for you!

You can follow the International Hospitality Management programme at Stenden, locations Leeuwarden, Qatar, South Africa, Thailand and Bali.

Leeuwarden – Student City of the year
With over 23,000 Dutch and international students at several universities, Leeuwarden is truly a student town. Students dominate many aspects of social, cultural and economic life in the city. Not surprisingly, Leeuwarden has been voted the “Best Student City” of the Netherlands at several times in recent years.

Duration
The programme takes four years to complete. However, based on prior learning and / or work experiences, you can receive exemptions to shorten your study. On your request, our admissions committee will decide the length of your studies upon receiving your application documents.

Intakes
The study International Hospitality Management starts in September and in February.

Best hospitality programme of the Netherlands
The programme is accredited by the Dutch government and chosen many times as best International Hospitality Management programme of the Netherlands!

Variants
Short Track programme
Through Accreditation of Prior Learning, students award credits for prior work experience and/or study. This may reduce the duration of their study by something between 1 and 3 years.

Fast-track Programme
The Fast-track Programme is a 3 year programme planned for students possessing the Dutch VWO diploma, and international students who have an European or other international equivalent diploma, for example International Baccalaureate or GCSE with 3 A levels. Qualified students are awarded up to 18 credits, which are distributed over the study years 1 through 3.

Students applying for the Fast Track Programme must undergo an assessment and personal interview by the coordinator of the programme as part of the admission process.

Double Degree Programme
With one more year of study you can also obtain a double BA degree combining hotel management at Stenden with facility management at Hanze University of Professional Education.

Job positions after your study
This professional bachelor degree gives many job opportunities in many countries worldwide and jobs in all kinds of well known companies.
