Int. Information and Communication Management (HBO)
 For those studying an English course, the hogeschool offers previously a Dutch summer language course in Emmen free of charge.
Stenden hogeschool offers the International Information and Communication Management programme for those students who want to be sure to get an (inter)national job in the rapidly changing ICT branche.

International degree
This four year bachelor programme is taught entirely in English. After graduation, you will receive an international recognized Bachelor of ICT degree. This degree gives you access to jobs all over the world in important management ICT positions.
The unique self-learning educational system throughout the study programme prepares you to be an independent ICT specialist after graduation. You will learn in a class with international students from many different countries. This gives an extra dimension to your learning experience.

The programme International Information and Communication Management is offered at Stenden hogeschool in Netherlands, location Emmen.
You can start this programme in September and February. Curriculum
The first year – foundation phase
During the first year, you will learn all about the World Wide Web; databases and web technology. You will get a practical assignment to set up and run an online store.
Throughout the year, you will also learn more about the competencies which are needed to me a good manager in this field. These are: ICT, Information strategies, Economics and Communication and Management.
The second year – main phase
During the second year, you will learn more about programming in ICT. Also more in depth management subjects are taught, such as change and knowledge management, object oriented design and you will learn to make a business plan including ethics and law. This is supported by a consideration of both the design element and the needs of customers.
The third year – main phase
The third year starts with a five-month internship. You can choose to follow this in the Netherlands or abroad. You will also learn about different kinds of design, business and change management. Part of your third year consists of a specialization which you can choose.
The fourth year – graduation phase
During the last year of your study, you will learn about research, ethics, law and auxiliary systems. In addition, you will follow a six-month internship at a national or international company. You will have to write a graduation thesis which ends you study. Because of the internship at the end of your study, the chances of getting a job-offer after your internship are likely.
